Bronze Prize in Housing – Buildings category of the 2nd Edition of the Lusophone Architecture and Interior Design Awards

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Winner of the Bronze Prize in Housing – Buildings category of the 2nd Edition of the Lusophone Architecture and Interior Design Awards, the building with 11 floors above ground and 4 floors below ground, adapts to the urbanization works carried out in the surroundings of the plot. It consists of a set of three volumes/boxes composed of two floors each, arranged above the second floor, interspersed by a slightly recessed floor, crowned by a top floor, which differentiates itself by framing these volumes together with the area adjacent to the gable adjacent to lot 2.

The project adopts a contemporary language in which it was intended to obtain volumes that intersect in order to obtain a diverse composition with different finishes, and generously sized spans for the private areas. The north elevation presents characteristics of greater protection, more contained and smaller spans, contrasting with the east and south elevations, which open larger spans and balconies.
