JM Clinic
Functionality and comfort in a revitalized historic building.
This project revitalizes a traditional one-story building located in Viana do Alentejo. Previously used for offices and abandoned for several years, the building now emerges as a modern medical clinic, with two dental offices and a nursing room designed to provide comfort and well-being for its users. The architectural intervention respected and integrated elements of the original construction, combining tradition and modernity in spacious areas, where the use of noble materials creates a welcoming and sophisticated environment. Wood, used in the cladding of some walls, stands out as a central design element, creating a harmonious contrast with other elements and providing a warm sensation. Natural stone, in harmony with larger ceramics, adds elegance and durability to the spaces, maintaining a clean and contemporary aesthetic, while lacquered glass doors add a luminous touch, ensuring privacy without compromising light transmission. Every detail of the project was designed to optimize functionality and comfort. In addition to the generous areas with sober lines, all service and workspaces have large openings to the outside, ensuring the entry of light throughout the day, which not only improves the quality of the internal environment but also contributes to the well-being of users and professionals. More than giving new life to a historic building, this project enriches the community by providing a healthcare space that serves with excellence and humanity.
